This
second pond, designed as a double-basin system, collects tailwater
and serves many other purposes: water storage, water return and
plant/wildlife habitat.
A smaller
pond works as a sediment trap, holding precious topsoil until it
can be put back onto the adjacent field.
This
decreases sediment moving off-field and into roadside ditches and
natural sloughs. Outfitted with a pump and return system, water
is recycled back to the field. |

Water
storage increases available water supply, of special concern in
the more arid regions.
Whether
you are considering tailwater or hill ponds, we can help you select
and install the right liner for water re-use.
Pond
benefits include a reduction of erosion, downstream flooding, sediment
depositation all the while providing additional irrigation
resources, scattered drinking sources for livestock and wildlife
a win-win practice for farmers, ranchers, livestock, wildlife,
and habitat.
