Gas Collecting Cover - Beardstown, IL |

Material Type: 80mil HDPE Our design/build gas collecting cover project installed at a hog rendering plant in Beardstown, IL immediately ridded the local community of a permeating pungent odor from the plant's wastewater lagoon. This hugely successful project represented a keynote installation. The design challenges were complex and daunting. The anaerobic lagoon featured a vertical interior valve structure with a catwalk that we had to work around. This required designing a cover system that would be deployed in two halves; pulling from opposite sides of the lagoon and then joining them down the middle. The cover system was then sealed around the valve structure and a pressure relief system was installed to ensure that excessive pressure could not develop around the catwalk area. The project not only required thoughtful design, but knowledgable installation crews in order to be a success. Click any of the images to see a larger image.
